Recorded live at Gas Street Church in Birmingham, England, with Integrity Music, the song was born from years of planting, pastoring, and leading the local church. Written alongside Brian Johnson, Jenn Johnson, Ben Fielding, and Nick Herbert, “Make A Way” speaks to trusting God in the middle of disappointment and uncertainty, holding the tension between hope and suffering while declaring that God remains faithful and ultimately has the final word. “Make A Way’ was born from the experiences and feelings we have between faith and disappointment,” Hughes shares. “We believe in a God who still moves mountains, even when life doesn’t unfold the way we expect.”
