Award-winning singer-songwriter and author Ellie Holcomb has announced her fifth studio album, Flowers For No Reason, releasing April 2, 2027, with Capitol Christian Music Group. Celebrating the beauty of God’s love and the childlike freedom that comes from knowing we are deeply loved, the forthcoming project is now available for pre-order. Alongside the announcement, Holcomb shares her new single, “Waterfalling,” an uplifting invitation to surrender our worries and trust in God’s unwavering love. “‘Waterfalling’ is an invitation to run like a kid with an arms-out, full-send, wild-abandoned trust fall into the steady Love of God,” shares Holcomb. “I hope this song reminds you to step back, touch grass, and trust that God’s gonna take such good care of you.”
Produced by longtime friend and collaborator Cason Cooley, Flowers For No Reason captures a season of renewed joy, wonder, and hope. Following her deeply personal 2025 album, Far Country, which explored finding God’s presence amid grief, Holcomb’s new collection emerges with a fresh sense of freedom. Blending folk-pop melodies with Scripture-rooted lyrics, the album explores the beauty of creation, the gift of rest, and the assurance of being loved before we do anything to earn it. “Flowers For No Reason is really an invitation to rest in our origin story, to rest in the deep roots of being God’s beloved.
