The presiding pastor of Remnant Christian Network Warri Hub, Evangelist Kesiena Esiri, has responded to the ongoing controversy surrounding Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo’s Tattoo.
The conversation began after Pastor Okonkwo shared a video revealing his tattoo, sparking mixed reactions across social media.
While some applauded his bold self-expression, others questioned whether body art aligns with Christian values, particularly for clergy.
Kesiena, addressing the issue stated in a sermon where he explained from a scriptural standpoint why getting a tattoo is not necessarily a sin, while also identifying what he described as a key error in the way the matter was handled publicly.
According to him, the Bible does not expressly condemn tattoos, noting that many believers often misinterpret certain scriptures without considering historical and cultural contexts.
He explained that leaders with large followings must be mindful of how their personal choices may influence others, particularly younger or less mature believers.
