“The Mystery of the Manger”: Vineyard Worship’s “Jesus Our Christ” Is a Tender Acoustic Treasure Arriving November 6
Vineyard Worship is set to release “Jesus Our Christ” on Friday, November 6th. Written by Joff Alexander-Frye, Marc James, Lucy Biggin, and Zac Carpenter, the song is a tender and organic acoustic treasure that radiates musical warmth and hope. The track is based on the biblical account of Jesus’ birth—the mystery of an all-powerful God who chose to humble Himself and take on the vulnerable infant form of His creation, entering the human story as the Messiah to redeem the broken relationship between man and God once and for all. Taking musical inspiration from Stephen Wilson Jr., Josiah Queen, and Nickel Creek, “Jesus Our Christ” was recorded live at Fox Den Studios in Sheffield, UK, and aims to draw listeners into the infinite beauty and mystery of Jesus, our Christ.
With its acoustic warmth and heartfelt delivery, the song invites listeners to pause and reflect on the wonder of the incarnation—the profound truth that the Creator of the universe stepped into His own creation as a helpless baby. “Jesus Our Christ” is more than a Christmas song; it is a meditation on the humility of God and the hope of redemption that began in a manger. The live recording at Fox Den Studios captures the intimacy and authenticity of the performance, allowing the song’s message to resonate with listeners in a deeply personal way. “Jesus Our Christ” is out everywhere on November 6th, and for everyone longing to rediscover the awe and wonder of the Christmas story, this song is a beautiful, soul-stirring invitation to behold the mystery of God made flesh.
