The popular biblical series “The Chosen” has made a remarkable achievement, soaring to No. 1 on Prime Video among all titles on Monday. This marks the second time this year that a biblical series has taken the top spot on the Amazon-owned streaming platform, with “House of David” being the other. Season 5 of “The Chosen” debuted just a week ago, under a new exclusive streaming deal, and has already gained immense popularity. The series ranked ahead of other top titles like “We Were Liars,” “The Accountant 2,” and “Deep Cover” to round out Prime Video’s Top 5.

Bible Hit ‘The Chosen’ Climbs to No. 1 on Prime Video

The new season includes several well-known scenes from Jesus’ life, including the triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the cleansing of the temple, and the Last Supper. The final three episodes of Season 5 will begin streaming on June 29, concluding the season. According to creator and director Dallas Jenkins, the partnership with Prime Video will “supercharge” the series’ marketing and translation efforts, enabling it to reach a billion people much faster. With Prime Video’s huge marketing engine, the show will be able to reach far more languages quicker than before. The series will also be available for free on The Chosen app later this year.
