The Redeemed Christian Church of God’s Living Seed Church in Omole has been making waves with its monthly food bank outreach program, providing essential food items to hundreds of individuals in need. This initiative, which takes place every first Sunday of the month, has become a beacon of hope for many in the Omole community and beyond. Under the leadership of Oluwafemi Oyesile and Pastor Adeola Abolaji, the church’s Corporate Social Responsibility department has been tirelessly working to ensure that this program is a success, distributing staple food items like rice, spaghetti, and garri to over 300 beneficiaries.

The food bank initiative is more than just a charitable act; it’s a reflection of the church’s commitment to serving the community and embodying the teachings of Christ. As Pastor Abolaji aptly quoted Matthew 25:40, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” This initiative aims to complement government efforts and bring hope to people in practical ways, encouraging others to support and participate in such efforts that reflect the love of Christ in action. With the church also launching a discount market, “Jesus Market,” where food items are sold at a 60% discount, and expanding its SME grant program to support small businesses, it’s clear that this initiative is just one part of a larger effort to make a positive impact in the community.
