In a stunning series of claims posted Monday on Truth Social, President Donald Trump announced that he personally intervened to halt an Israeli strike on Beirut, alleging that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “turned his troops around” mid-operation after a direct plea. “I had a conversation with Bibi Netanyahu today, asking him not to conduct a major raid on Beirut, Lebanon,” Trump wrote. “He turned his troops around.
