Letting Go to Find Peace: Lysa TerKeurst and Tasha Layton Unite for a Fall Tour on Freedom, Faith, and Releasing What We Cannot Control

New York Times bestselling author and speaker Lysa TerKeurst is set to launch the Making Peace With What I Can’t Control Tour this fall, bringing her signature blend of raw honesty and biblical wisdom to audiences across the country. Joined by acclaimed artist and worship leader Tasha Layton, the tour promises a series of powerful evenings designed to help attendees release fear-driven control, embrace lasting peace, and encounter God in a fresh way. Through a thoughtful fusion of teaching and worship, each gathering will address a struggle TerKeurst describes as deeply personal: the exhausting weight of trying to fix others, preempt every disaster, and hyperextend oneself to manage uncontrollable circumstances. Layton’s musical contributions will further deepen the nights, creating space for reflection and spiritual breakthrough.

“I’ve spent years overthinking how to prevent the worst from happening,” TerKeurst shared. “But I’ve also experienced the relief of finally feeling safe enough to surrender it to God.” Her prayer, she says, is that attendees will walk away having shifted the weight they’ve been holding to the only One who can truly bear it all. Layton echoed that sentiment, expressing her hope that “every person in the room encounters God in a real and personal way, and walks away reminded that there is hope, healing, and freedom available to them.” The Making Peace With What I Can’t Control Tour will visit cities nationwide this fall, offering a timely message for anyone weary of carrying burdens never meant for their shoulders.
