Flee California Before It’s Too Late: Pastor Jack Hibbs Sounds the Alarm

378views

California Pastor Jack Hibbs is sounding the alarm for Christians to flee the state if a proposed bill, AB 495, passes into law. The Family Preparedness Plan Act of 2025 would allow nearly any adult to take custody of children without parental consent, stripping parents of their God-given authority. Hibbs, who leads Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, is urging his congregation to pack up and leave the state if this bill becomes law, emphasizing the need to protect children and uphold parental rights.

A Threat to Parental Authority
The bill would expand the definition of a “caregiver” to include non-relative extended family members, allowing them to take custody of a child by signing an affidavit and make critical medical decisions without parental consent. Hibbs believes this is a direct threat to the rights of Christian parents and a clear example of the consequences of not voting. “Evil always fills a void or vacancy,” he said, referencing Jesus’ words in Matthew 12:43-45 [2].

A Call to Action
To oppose this legislation, Hibbs has announced the “Stop AB 495 Rally” at the steps of the state capitol in Sacramento on August 19. He hopes to rally at least 5,000 Christians to attend and make their voices heard. Hibbs is urging his congregation to take the day off work and prioritize this critical issue, stressing the importance of protecting parental rights and the well-being of children.
