Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell has sparked controversy by blaming a Christian rally and infiltrating “anarchists” for violence that broke out at a counter-protest on Saturday. The Seattle Police Department reported 23 arrests at Cal Anderson Park, where MayDayUSA’s “Don’t Mess With Our Kids” rally was met with a pro-LGBTQ counter-protest. According to SPD, police witnessed multiple people throwing items at the opposing group, and officers were assaulted while making arrests, leading to one officer requiring medical treatment.
