As we journey through the ups and downs of life, we often find ourselves yearning for comfort and rest. In today’s readings, we are reminded that our solace is not found in the world, but in the gentle and humble heart of Jesus.
In Isaiah 26:7-9, 12, 16-19, we hear the prophet’s cry for salvation, “O Lord, you mete out peace to us, for you have wrought in us all our works.” These words echo the longing of our souls for divine intervention. We seek refuge from the turmoil that surrounds us, and Isaiah assures us that our hope lies in the Lord.
