Kemi Akinsipe had her elementary education in Children’s Home School and Sacred Heart Private School, both in Ibadan. For her secondary education, she attended the Federal Government Girls’ College in Oyo where she was the Head Girl (Senior Prefect) of the school for two consecutive years, a feat that has not been broken or matched till date, since her set was the pioneer set of the 6-3-3-4 educational system in Nigeria. She passed out in 1988 with an all-distinction school certificate result to the glory of God.

Artist Spotlight: Kemi Akinsipe
KEMI AKINSIPE (NEE ALADEGBAIYE)- a woman of many parts- a wife, a mother, a daughter, a music minister, a professional and a businesswoman.
Kemi Akinsipe had her elementary education in Children’s Home School and Sacred Heart Private School, both in Ibadan. Kemi Akinsipe studied Pure and Applied Chemistry in the prestigious University of Ibadan and obtained her BSc (Hons) in 1992. She did her National Youth service at the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC), a subsidiary of NNPC at Mosimi Depot in Sagamu as the Depot Chemist.
After this, she was offered a job at the now defunct Gateway Bank of Nigeria (Abeokuta Branch) as a sub- officer. Kemi Akinsipe moved from the banking sector to the manufacturing sector in 1994 as the only female management trainee in the midst of six management trainees at the Carnaud Metal Box Toyo Glass Manufacturing Company in Agbara Industrial Estate. She rose from the post of the chemical analyst to that of the Assistant Laboratory Manager, a position she resigned from to join her husband in Ibadan in 1998 to raise a family.
Her entrepreneurial mindset began manifesting when she followed her passion in music and established Kemmymuzik International and business ventures in 2004. Her music ministry spans well over 30 years, right from her youthful years in secondary school (Spiritual Negroes at the Federal Government Girls’ College in the 80s), through her university days in the premier university (University of Ibadan) and also through Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF) Ogun State Chapter 92/93 set. She has two albums – ‘You Alone’ (2005) and ‘Way Out’ (2010) to her credit. A single release to commemorate her silver jubilee wedding anniversary titled ‘Onitemi’ was also released in April 2021. She is currently an Associate Pastor with Mount Zion Bible Church at Oni and Sons Area, Ring Road, Ibadan. As a music minister, she shares the message of hope in God through songs across the globe.
Kemi Akinsipe’s love for the Accounting profession was manifest right from her secondary school days when she did her first ever vacation job at the Accounting department of the Tess Travels and Tours (a Travelling Agency) in Ibadan in the late ‘80s. Decades later, her insatiable quest for knowledge made her enroll for accounting classes and to the glory of God, she became a Chartered Accountant in 2016. She was inducted into the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in 2017. She was with Bakertilly (Chartered Accountants) as an Audit Associate from 2014 to November 2019 when she resigned to pursue a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA – Finance option) at the University Of Ibadan School Of Business.
A woman of strong will, she has brought her wealth of experience to bear on whatever venture or task assigned to her. She sits on the board of various companies amongst which are: Mahipglo Nigeria Enterprises, Aador Media Concept and Patmodit Insurance Brokers.
She is currently an Associate Pastor and a music minister with the message of hope in God in songs all over the globe with the Mount Zion Bible Church at Oni and Sons Area, Ring Road, Ibadan.
Kemi Akinsipe is an household name in the gospel music industry and for the last three decades she has shared platforms with various Gospel music icons such as Bola Are, Toun Soetan, Pastor Moji Alawiye (PMA), Dr Bukola Akinade (Senwele Jesu) , Gbenga Adenuga, Yetunde Are, Ibironke Adeniji Basorun, Big Bolaji, Banji Fadehan just to few a notable few.
She is happily married to her childhood sweetheart, Pastor (Engr) Yele Akinsipe and they are blessed with wonderful and God-fearing children.
