CLIMA AFRICA Unveils Honourees for Historic 10th Anniversary, Celebrating a Decade of Kingdom Influence Across the Continent

The Christian Legendary and Impact Makers Awards in Africa, popularly known as CLIMA AFRICA, has officially unveiled its distinguished list of honourees for the 2026 Awards, marking a historic 10th anniversary celebration of recognizing exceptional African voices, leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, ministers, and gospel music practitioners whose contributions continue to inspire positive transformation across the continent. The highly anticipated 2026 edition is scheduled to take place on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Solution Arena, 156 Ikorodu Road, Lagos, bringing together distinguished personalities, gospel music icons, industry leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, ministers, media personalities, and guests from across Africa and the diaspora. The unveiling features an outstanding collection of African personalities across multiple award categories, reflecting the depth, diversity, and vibrancy of the continent’s Christian creative community.

The honourees list reads like a who’s who of African gospel music and ministry. In the Music Legends and Recognitions category, the Africa Gospel Music Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Buchi, Tope Alabi, and Panam Percy Paul, while the Africa Global Music Impact Award goes to Everton Mlalazi and Moses Bliss. The Africa Gospel Music Impact Award recognizes Joe Praiz, Enkay Ogburuche, Ibitayo Jeje, and Preye Odede. Regional icons include Janet Otieno (Eastern Africa), Rebecca Bulayima (Central Africa), Chigozie Wisdom (Western Africa), and Ayo Olajide (Diaspora). The Africa Gospel Music Powerhouse Award honors Quebec Mlamuli Miya, Ezee Tee, Joseph Briggs, and Sly Etuk. In the competitive Gospel Music Category, Lilian Nneji wins Africa Gospel Artist of the Year, Piesie Esther takes Africa Female Artist of the Year, and Canaan Nyathi is named Africa Male Artist of the Year. Other notable winners include Prophyce Ngongo (Francophone Artist), Yadah (Female Vocalist), Efe Nathan (Worship Artist), and TKEYZ’s “Olwatosin” (Gospel Song of the Year).
The 10th anniversary of CLIMA AFRICA represents a significant milestone in the recognition and celebration of African Christian excellence.
