‘A Miracle Baby’: Candace Cameron Bure Celebrates First Grandson Born 10 Weeks Early
Actress, author, and outspoken Christian Candace Cameron Bure is celebrating becoming a first-time grandmother after her son Lev and his wife, Elliott Bure, welcomed their first child. Baby Bond Leo Bure was born on August 4, 2026, about 10 weeks earlier than expected, weighing exactly 3 pounds. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Elliott announced the birth, writing, “Bond was born 10 weeks early at exactly 3 lbs. and was transferred immediately to the NICU—through lots of tears, countless prayers, and what felt like endless hours in the hospital, 5 weeks and 5 days later we finally brought our miracle boy home!!” She expressed gratitude to the hospital staff and their community, adding, “Thank you Jesus for every answered prayer!!!!! we are blessed beyond measure!!!!” Candace Cameron Bure, 50, also celebrated the news on social media, describing her grandson as “a miracle baby” and writing, “Our hearts could not be more full of love. You and Lev are the most amazing parents—and we are here for every minute of it. We love you all sooooooo much.”
The joyful announcement drew congratulations from fellow actors, including Roma Downey, who responded with heart emojis, and Candace’s “Fuller House” castmate Andrea Barber, who wrote, “Absolutely precious. Welcome home, Bond!” The milestone comes as Candace’s oldest daughter, Natasha, and her husband, Bradley Perry, are also expecting their first child soon, with Natasha nine months pregnant. Earlier this year, Cameron Bure told Today.com that becoming a grandmother was something she had dreamed and prayed about, revealing that she had chosen her grandmother name: “Candy Gram.” “This is just the sweetest season,” she said in May 2026. “I’ve dreamed and prayed about being a grandma, and now it’s actually happening. I already find myself thinking about all the traditions and memories we’ll get to create and thanking the Lord for this gift. Candy Gram is ready and waiting!”
