Switchfoot’s “Forever Now Tour” Kicks Off with Sold-Out Shows Across Two Countries and Five Cities
GRAMMY-winning rock band Switchfoot has launched their highly anticipated Forever Now Tour with a triumphant opening weekend that saw them travel 2,200 miles, perform in five cities across two countries, and draw more than 20,000 fans in just five days. The tour kicked off on September 16 with a sold-out opening night in Grand Rapids, Michigan, followed by packed crowds in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and several festival dates, wrapping up across the border in Canada on September 20. “Man, what a gift it is to be back on the road doing what we love, getting to play these new songs live,” said lead vocalist Jon Foreman. “To think that we got to begin this tour by traveling 2,200 miles, playing to 20,000 people across two countries in five cities in five days is something we will never take for granted. We are excited for the upcoming shows and to see the fans sing the new album back to us.”
Named after their recently released album Forever Now—a 13-track project centering on the emotional roller coaster of a person’s final day of life—the tour will hit 38 cities total, with stops in major markets like Los Angeles, Chicago, and Nashville, joined by special guest Anberlin. Fans can expect to hear classics like “Meant to Live” and “Dare You To Move,” as well as tracks from the new album, including their current single “Absolution,” which is climbing the Alternative charts. Few tickets remain for the tour, which promises to be a powerful blend of nostalgia and new material that showcases Switchfoot’s enduring impact on rock music and their ability to connect with audiences across generations.
