“FAFO”: FBI Nabs Protester Who Vowed to Kill ICE Officer’s Family After Acting AG’s Swift Promise

In a swift display of federal law enforcement’s reach, the FBI arrested a protester who was captured on video making graphic death threats against an ICE officer and his family during a chaotic demonstration outside Newark’s Delaney Hall detention center. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche had promised on Fox News’ “The Will Cain Show” that the individual would be found and arrested within a day—a pledge that materialized just hours later when the suspect was taken into custody. The video shows the protester taunting the officer with chilling words: “I will kill your whole f—ing family. Your children and wife all dead. I have your face mother—er! All dead!” Blanche condemned the threats as “disgusting,” emphasizing that the officer was simply standing there doing his job. On Friday evening, Blanche announced the arrest on X with a terse, viral message: “Told you. @FBI just arrested the man who threatened to kill ICE officers and their families. FAFO.”

The arrest came amid six straight nights of violent clashes between anti-ICE protesters and federal agents outside the Newark detention center. According to the Department of Homeland Security, protesters bit, kicked, and punched agents, threw wooden pallets and mattresses, and brandished gas masks and black umbrellas to shield themselves from pepper spray deployed by ICE. Nine rioters were arrested Thursday night alone, adding to six from the previous evening. DHS also claimed that local police refused to assist federal officers, a charge linked to New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill’s policy of designated protest zones near ICE facilities. While the original demonstrations began over detainees’ allegations of poor medical care, insufficient food, and lack of due process—claims DHS has denied—the focus has shifted to the violent rhetoric and actions that led to federal intervention. The arrested protester’s identity has not yet been released, but the case underscores the Justice Department’s zero-tolerance stance toward threats against law enforcement families.
