Harvest of Souls: Oklahoma Prison Outreach Sees Over 400 Inmates Accept Salvation

108views

A powerful prison outreach in Oklahoma led by Pastor Paul Daugherty of Victory Christian Center in Tulsa has resulted in over 400 inmates accepting salvation, with more than 700 worshipping God. The event, which aimed to reach every prisoner, was facilitated by just 32 volunteers who served 1,000 hot meals, distributed 700 Bibles, and handed out 1,300 Bible study books. Daugherty’s vision was to reach as many prisoners as possible with God’s love, and it seems that vision has been fulfilled.

The outreach was made possible through Daugherty’s connections with Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt and his team. Brian Bobek, the state’s top operating officer, who is also a Christian, encouraged Daugherty to launch the prison outreach. “I want to reach almost every prisoner we can,” Daugherty told Bobek, and that’s exactly what he and his team did. On June 23rd, they held their first outreach at John H. Lilley Prison in Boley, Oklahoma, where approximately 751 inmates came out to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ being preached.

The event was a resounding success, with many inmates responding to the call for salvation. “We’re forever grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this lasting impact made today,” Victory Christian Center stated in a post on Instagram. The outreach is a testament to the power of faith and the impact it can have on people’s lives, even in the most challenging environments. As Daugherty said, “I really feel like there’s a harvest of people in the prisons that we could reach with God’s love.
