Comedian Rosie O’Donnell has taken aim at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s recent three-day Italian wedding, calling it a display of “gross excess.” O’Donnell shared her thoughts on Instagram, posting side-by-side photos of Sánchez with “then and now” printed at the bottom. She criticized Bezos’ treatment of his employees and praised his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott, saying she is the “salt of the earth”.
O’Donnell’s caption also targeted Sánchez’s appearance, saying she looks like a “fake fem bot wife.” On her Substack account, O’Donnell expanded on her criticism, writing that the wedding was a demonstration of “celebrity worship” and “devoid of humanity.” She expressed her disdain for the attendees, including A-list stars like Orlando Bloom and Kim Kardashian, saying they were “posing for photos forgetting themselves”.
O’Donnell isn’t the only celebrity to speak out about the Bezos-Sánchez wedding. Charlize Theron also took a jab at the couple, saying they “suck” after not receiving an invitation to the wedding. The couple tied the knot on June 27 on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, surrounded by a star-studded guest list.
