Bethel Music has just released their latest single, Center (Live), now available on all streaming platforms along with an evocative live music video. Led by guest artist Abbie Gamboa, the song is an earnest and heartfelt anthem, inviting believers to place Jesus at the center of their lives and hearts. The track is a part of the collective’s upcoming album, We Must Respond, which will release on January 10, 2025. With each note and lyric, Center (Live) serves as a reminder to realign our focus on Christ, grounding everything we do in the desire to honor and glorify Him.

Gamboa recalls the song’s creation as a collaborative effort with her husband Gabe and Bethel’s Brian Johnson. The simplicity of their vision, aimed at giving the church a worshipful cry to sing together, blossomed into a powerful experience during its live recording. “The night of recording, it was like the room already owned the song,” Gamboa shares. “They had heard it once or twice before, but it felt like more than just knowing the words… their hearts knew it.” With its melodic intimacy and profound message, Center (Live) is designed to inspire worshipers to refocus their lives around Christ, sparking a renewed passion for His presence.

This single comes on the heels of Bethel Music’s recent success at the 55th Annual Dove Awards, where they received accolades for Song of the Year and Children’s Recorded Song of the Year with Holy Forever. As anticipation builds for We Must Respond, recorded live at the Cascade Theatre in Redding, California, the album promises to be a powerful collection that features not only Gamboa but also worship leaders Brooke Ligertwood and Aodhán King. Inspired by the invitation to “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10), this album represents a call to surrender in worship, creating a sacred space for listeners to experience a profound connection with the heart of God.
