Wilder Woods, the solo project of NEEDTOBREATHE’s Bear Rinehart, has released “Time On My Hands,” featuring Jim James of My Morning Jacket. This neo-soul tribute to life’s simple pleasures is the latest single from his upcoming album “Curioso,” due out February 12 through Dualtone Records. With its laid-back groove, electric guitar riffs, and stacked vocal harmonies, “Time On My Hands” is a modern Motown classic.
“Curioso” is Rinehart’s third solo release as Wilder Woods, showcasing his genre-bending approach to American music. Inspired by diverse influences like Perfume Genius, Outkast, and Arcade Fire, Rinehart collaborated with producers and writers Jeremy Lutito, Konrad Snyder, and Anderson East to craft an album that defies boundaries. From the stomping rock of “Hide Anymore” to the rootsy “Devil In My Eyes,” “Curioso” is a sonic exploration of life’s complexities and simple joys.
As Wilder Woods prepares to tour the US in February, Rinehart’s enthusiasm for musical discovery shines through. “Curioso” is more than an album – it’s a curated collection of influences and experiences, a sonic curio cabinet that showcases Rinehart’s growth as a songwriter. With “Time On My Hands” featuring Jim James, Wilder Woods invites listeners to slow down and appreciate life’s precious moments. Catch Wilder Woods live in cities across the US, culminating at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
