The journey to childhood innocence is precious, husband-and-wife duo Alabaster Grace is on a mission to ignite young hearts with their latest single, “Friendship”. As the theme song for the upcoming online children’s show KiDS, “Friendship” embodies the program’s core message: kindness, sharing, learning, and loving thy neighbor as thyself.

With their unique blend of talents – Brad Perry’s NASA-honed creativity and Joanie Perry’s educational expertise – Alabaster Grace has created a song that makes “your insides GLOW”, as international speaker and children’s book author Jeff Patnaude so aptly puts it. As KiDS brings spiritual values and biblical parables to life through storytelling, puppets, animation, and original music, “Friendship” stands at the forefront, inspiring children ages 4-11 to embrace the beauty of friendship and the importance of loving one another. With Alabaster Grace’s “Friendship” leading the charge, a movement of kindness and love is unfolding – one that will resonate in the hearts of young listeners for years to come.

“We were asked to write a song for the show, which emphasizes the importance of friendship,” says Brad Perry, Alabaster Grace’s guitarist and arranger. “In writing ‘Friendship,’ we recalled the special friendships of our youth and how these friendships blessed us growing up and as adults.”

“This song feels like a ‘full-circle moment’ for me,” says Joanie Perry, Alabaster Grace’s lead vocalist and primary songwriter. “I was a public school music teacher and librarian for most of my career, and seeing children excel in their God-given gifts and talents has always been a passion of mine.”

Alabaster Grace’s new single follows on the heels of their recent performances as the featured guest artist at the 103^rd Virginia State Gideons Convention in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where they shared songs from their new four-song EP, Our God is Faithful.
