Michael Sweet Launches “Faith in Music Foundation” to Empower Artists and Restore Hope in the Industry

In a heartfelt move to uplift struggling musicians, The Faith in Music Foundation officially launches today — a faith-driven nonprofit created by Stryper frontman Michael Sweet and his wife and manager, Lisa Champagne-Sweet. Their mission is simple yet profound: to remove the financial barriers that prevent artists from sharing their God-given talents with the world. “Music is a universal language that builds communities and inspires hope,” said Michael Sweet, emphasizing that the vision for this initiative was placed on their hearts over a decade ago. The foundation aims to breathe life back into a challenging industry by equipping artists with the means to create, tour, and thrive without compromise.

To fulfill this mission, the foundation introduces two key programs — the Touring Support Grant, which assists with travel and performance-related expenses, and the Recording Support Grant, which funds studio production, mixing, and mastering costs. Grant applications open October 15, 2025, and close November 15, 2025, marking the first opportunity for musicians to apply via FaithInMusic.com. Every donation made directly supports full-time musicians committed to using their art to uplift others. As Sweet passionately expressed, “We’re not just funding music — we’re fueling purpose.”
