A Historic Harmony: Cook Media Global Marks 150 Years with Landmark Acquisition of Fair Trade Services

In celebration of its 150th anniversary, Christian publisher and music powerhouse Cook Media Global has announced the acquisition of Fair Trade Services, one of the most influential independent record labels in the faith-based music industry. The deal includes Fair Trade’s full catalog, publishing rights, recordings, and staff—positioning Cook Media Global as a dominant force in Christian media and music worldwide. The acquisition, effective October 31, 2025, reinforces the company’s commitment to equipping the global Church through worship, storytelling, and sound theology.

With a legacy of strategic acquisitions—including Integrity Music (2011), Standard Publishing (2015), and Group Publishing (2024)—Cook Media Global continues to expand its impact in the faith sector. Fair Trade, founded in 1999 by Jeff Moseley, is home to acclaimed artists such as Phil Wickham, MercyMe, CeCe Winans, Micah Tyler, and Colton Dixon. The label’s impressive catalog includes multiple Grammy and Dove Award-winning albums and chart-topping hits that have shaped modern worship. Moseley expressed excitement about the transition, saying, “Cook Media Global shares the same heartbeat as Fair Trade, and I can’t imagine a better place to lay the foundations for the future.”
Cook Media Global CEO Bill Reeves praised the acquisition as a spiritually aligned partnership built on shared purpose. “Cultural and theological alignment are essential for a successful acquisition,” Reeves noted. “Fair Trade shares our passion for making Jesus known through media, and their creativity and excellence will strengthen our mission.” Both companies will maintain independent operations, with Fair Trade continuing from its Brentwood, Tennessee office under a long-term lease. As Reeves added, “We’re thrilled to welcome Jeff and his incredible team. Together, we’ll amplify worship and reach even more hearts around the world with the message of Christ.”
