Gangland Horror: MS-13 Inmates Launch Brutal Attack on Corrections Officers in Virginia Prison

In a shocking and violent incident, three corrections officers were hospitalized after being attacked by inmates affiliated with the notorious MS-13 gang and another known gang at Wallens Ridge State Prison in Wise County, Virginia. The alleged coordinated attack, which involved six inmates, took place at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Friday. Five of the inmates are confirmed members of MS-13, originally from El Salvador, who were in the U.S. illegally and had been convicted of violent crimes, including murder and rape.
The sixth inmate, a U.S. citizen, is a confirmed member of the Sureño 13 gang, serving a sentence for second-degree murder. Virginia Department of Corrections Director Chad Dotson condemned the attack, stating that five of the individuals responsible “should never have been in this country in the first place.” Dotson praised the corrections officers for their bravery, saying they put their lives on the line every day to ensure public safety. Two officers remain hospitalized in stable condition, while three have been discharged.
The incident has raised concerns about public safety and the presence of violent gangs within the prison system. The Trump administration has increased enforcement actions targeting MS-13 gang members who have entered the country illegally. The investigation is ongoing, and further information will be shared once it is complete. The incident highlights the dangers faced by corrections officers and the need for stricter measures to prevent such attacks in the future.
