A Symphony of Faith and Legacy: The Museum of Christian & Gospel Music Opens Its Doors in Nashville

This Labor Day weekend, history will harmonize with hope as The Museum of Christian & Gospel Music (The C&G) unveils its long-awaited tribute to the soul-stirring sounds that have shaped hearts across generations. Nestled in the vibrant pulse of Music City, just steps from the iconic Ryman Auditorium, this groundbreaking institution—spearheaded by the Gospel Music Association—promises to be more than a museum; it’s a sanctuary where melodies meet miracles. From the golden age of Gospel quartets to the modern anthems of Christian rock and worship, The C&G will weave a living tapestry of faith, resilience, and artistry. With inaugural ticket pricing, exclusive Founding Memberships, and commemorative keepsakes now available, fans are invited to claim their place in this sacred musical journey.

For decades, Nashville has been the beating heart of Christian and Gospel music, yet a dedicated space to honor its profound legacy remained a dream—until now. “People have longed for this museum as long as the music itself has thrived here,” shares Executive Director Steve Gilreath. The C&G will transcend traditional exhibits, offering an immersive experience where visitors can remix timeless hymns, witness rare memorabilia, and even stand where legends once stood. The museum will pulse with life through live performances, intimate artist encounters, and dynamic workshops, ensuring every guest doesn’t just observe the music but feels it. Kicking off the Legacy Series, 16-time Dove Award winner Russ Taff will serve as the inaugural Artist in Residence, offering fans an unforgettable glimpse into his storied career.

GMA President Jackie Patillo reflects, “This museum is the fulfillment of our mission to Expose, Promote, and Celebrate the Gospel through music in all its forms.” From Southern Gospel’s rich harmonies to the bold beats of Holy Hip-Hop, The C&G will amplify the diverse voices that have carried faith’s message through song. As the doors swing open, a new chapter begins—one where every chord, chorus, and testimony finds its home. The stage is set; the music is calling.
