Just in time for Lent 2025, Nigerian Gospel artist John Olumayowa has released a powerful new hymn, “Hallelujah Jesus Rose Again.” This soul-stirring piece arrives during a season of reflection and remembrance, urging listeners to contemplate Christ’s sacrifice and the transformative power of the cross.
“Hallelujah Jesus Rose Again” serves as a musical guide, drawing believers closer to Christ and encouraging complete surrender. The hymn begins with Christ’s invitation, beckoning listeners to experience the fullness of salvation. It then progresses to the call for a life of devotion, one where we carry His cross daily, embracing crucifixion, burial, and resurrection alongside Him. Ultimately, the hymn offers assurance of eternal life, a promise of hope beyond earthly existence.
John Olumayowa, a devoted follower and disciple of Jesus Christ in word and deed, serves in the ministry House Of Tephillah, which is dedicated to discipleship across various aspects of life. “Hallelujah Jesus Rose Again” is released under Tephillah Records, the ministry’s music-focused branch. The hymn, along with other musical projects, can be found on the House Of Tephillah website.
Olumayowa describes the inspiration behind the hymn, stating, “This song came as a reflection of the experience I am having as Christ keeps consuming me and replace the me in me with Himself. I have seen the necessity of the simplicity that we have in Christ and the beauty that we have as we go back to the cross daily to be crucified. This is the life I want to continually live that death should continually be at work in me and thereby presenting the life of Christ to people.”
Following this hymn release, John Olumayowa plans to release a single titled “Angels Come,” followed by another hymn.
