Trump Administration Ramps Up Deportations, Vance Confirms Crackdown

Washington, D.C. – Vice President JD Vance has confirmed that deportation numbers are set to surge as the Trump administration shifts its focus from securing the southern border to executing mass removals of illegal migrants. The administration is making good on President Donald Trump’s campaign promise to restore law and order through an aggressive immigration crackdown.

“We’ve cut illegal border crossings by well over 95%, and frankly, I think those numbers are going to continue to come down,” Vance declared during an interview on The Ingraham Angle Thursday night.

Trump’s Border Crackdown Gains Momentum

The White House has aggressively pursued measures to reverse the border policies of the previous administration. Among the sweeping executive orders signed by President Trump upon taking office in January were the declaration of an “invasion” at the southern border and the deployment of U.S. military forces to reinforce border security.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is intensifying deportations, despite the system being severely underfunded and weakened under the Biden administration. “ICE was radically underfunded, really sort of in some ways destroyed by the Biden administration. We’re building that capacity up,” Vance explained.

Deportation Surge on the Horizon

The administration has faced early logistical hurdles, but the numbers are rising. Reuters reported last month that Trump’s first month in office saw 37,660 deportations, a figure expected to skyrocket in the coming months as the administration retools immigration enforcement.

Vance assured the American people that efforts to remove those who entered the country illegally during Biden’s tenure would not slow down. “It will take time for deportations to increase, but we are making progress,” he emphasized.

New Strategy: Encouraging Self-Deportation

The administration has unveiled an innovative self-deportation initiative. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and border czar Tom Homan have repurposed the CBP One app—which was previously used to facilitate illegal entries—into a tool that encourages voluntary departures.

“We’re repurposing it to facilitate self-deportation,” Vance revealed. “We don’t necessarily have to knock on every door. We will do that when necessary, but our goal is for people to leave voluntarily.”

Expanding Detention Facilities and National Security Measures

While ramping up deportations, the administration is also expanding detention capabilities. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is working with the U.S. Marshals Service, Department of Defense, and Federal Bureau of Prisons to increase bed space for detained migrants.

Notably, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth recently announced that some criminal migrants would be temporarily held at Guantánamo Bay while awaiting deportation. However, sources confirmed that a small group of 40 migrants initially sent to Gitmo had been transferred to a facility in Louisiana.

Biden’s Legacy Reversed as Trump Restores Law and Order

The Trump administration’s policies have sparked pushback from progressive activists, but the White House remains steadfast in its mission. Vance hailed the shift as a long-overdue correction after four years of border mismanagement under Biden.

“We are changing 40 years of a failed bipartisan consensus in D.C.,” he declared. “President Trump is delivering on his promise to secure the border, restore national sovereignty, and ensure the safety of American citizens.”

With the administration’s multi-pronged strategy of enforcement, deterrence, and deportation in full swing, the message is clear: The days of open borders are over.
