JJ HAIRSTON’S JAMESTOWN MUSIC INKS HISTORIC DEAL WITH MOTOWN GOSPEL: A NEW CHAPTER IN GOSPEL MUSIC
In a groundbreaking move, JamesTown Music, founded by GRAMMY-nominated and multiple Stellar Award winner JJ Hairston, has partnered with Motown Gospel. This strategic alliance comes ahead of JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise’s 25th anniversary reunion musical live recording, marking the first project under this new partnership. The live recording, set for November 23rd, will feature reimagined versions of their iconic hits, classic songs, and new music, showcasing the choir’s continued relevance and Hairston’s powerful leadership.
This milestone anniversary celebration will bring together special guest artists, including Tamela Mann, Jonathan McReynolds, and Melvin Crispell III. Reflecting on the journey, JJ Hairston shared, “This milestone is a testament to God’s faithfulness and the passion of everyone involved in Youthful Praise.” Founded in 1991, the once 35-member church choir has transformed into a Billboard chart-topping national gospel artist, releasing hits like “You Deserve It” and “Miracle Worker.”
