Independent gospel artist KaDarrius Campbell, known by his stage name Crushun, is excited to announce the release of his new single “Stay on Board.” This heartfelt gospel track speaks directly to those facing trials, encouraging them to remain steadfast in their faith despite life’s storms.
Drawing from his personal experiences and deep-rooted love for gospel music, Crushun crafted “Stay on Board” to reflect the struggles many face when they feel distant from God. The song tells the story of a person who, overwhelmed by life’s challenges, drifts away from God but eventually realizes that God is always reaching out. Through divine admonition, the person is reminded to stay anchored in faith, with the promise that God will never let them sink. The song’s powerful message is completed by the individual’s submission to God and acceptance of the call to remain “on board.”

“Stay on Board is about enduring life’s storms while holding on to God’s promises. It’s a reminder that even when we drift, God is always calling us back,” says Crushun.

Born in Oxford, Mississippi, and raised in Waldorf, Maryland, Crushun’s passion for music was ignited at an early age by the influence of his grandmother, who often spoke about Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers. After hearing Cooke’s stirring rendition of “Nearer My God to Thee,” Crushun realized the profound power of music as a gateway to the soul—a revelation that shaped his love for gospel music, particularly its ability to reach people at a deeper, spiritual level.

As an independent and upcoming artist, Crushun is driven by a mission to create music that brings the message of the cross to everyone, no matter where they are in life. His style, deeply inspired by gospel legends, aims to connect listeners to God’s love and grace in a way that is authentic and timeless.

“It’s an honor to be a Christian artist and to spread God’s love through music. I want listeners to feel what I felt growing up—music that touches the soul,” Crushun shares.

“Stay on Board” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
