Her entrepreneurial spirit, guided by the Holy Spirit, led to the creation of New Day Christian Distributors in 1981. From her garage, with a small investment from her family, she began distributing Christian music and products, soon partnering with major labels to bring the messages of faith, hope, and love to Christian bookstores across the nation. As her vision grew, so did her influence, and Daywind Soundtracks, Daywind Records, and Daywind Music Publishing became household names in Southern Gospel and Bluegrass music.
Dottie’s list of achievements is long, but her heart for others shone through in every endeavor. She surrounded herself with talented individuals, always quick to credit those who helped her on her journey. Her companies became a platform for artists to share their gifts, bringing the music of legends like the Crabb Family, Gold City, and Jason Crabb to the forefront of Christian worship.
