Unspoken’s “IV”: A Powerful Declaration of God’s Unchanging Love

4views

After a five-year wait, Centricity Music band Unspoken is back with their fourth studio album, “IV”, a testament to the foundational love of God that remains unchanged amidst life’s storms and cultural shifts. The 10-song project features the top 15 and climbing radio hit “What He Says About You”, a driving, guitar-heavy track that challenges society’s false labels and reminds listeners of their identity in Christ. Written by lead vocalist Chad Mattson and his bandmate Jon Lowry, alongside renowned songwriters, this anchor track sets the tone for an album that feels like it was written in the midst of real life.

From the pop-centric “Loved By You” to the celebratory “Love Is Everything We Need”, each song on “IV” is a powerful declaration of God’s love and goodness. Mattson’s personal struggles and triumphs are woven throughout the album, including his continued sobriety journey on “More Church Than Church”, featuring country music A-lister Walker Hayes. With nearly 100 contenders penned over the past five years, Unspoken has crafted an album that reflects their real-life experiences and faith.

Through “IV”, Unspoken invites listeners to anchor their identity in Christ and find joy in the midst of chaos. As Mattson says, “Our job as believers is to reflect Jesus to people, and one of the greatest ways we do that is through the joy we have in whatever circumstance we’re in.” With its release, “IV” is poised to inspire a new generation of believers to stand firm in their faith and declare the unchanging love of God to a world in need.
