On Tuesday, August 27th, the Fisher Center for Performing Arts at Belmont University will host Porter’s Call’s 15th annual “Evening of Stories”, a night of inspiration and storytelling featuring renowned artists and musicians. This year’s event will honor music industry veteran Peter York with the Founders Award, presented annually to an individual whose purpose, compassion, and persistence have made a profound impact on the community. York’s remarkable career spans over three decades, with achievements including developing iconic artists like TobyMac and Amy Grant, and A&R-ing over 100 gold-selling albums.

The “Evening of Stories” will feature two storytellers, Trisha Yearwood and Christian Wiman, and three musical guests, Kyshona, Tommy Prine, and Natalie Hemby, sharing in the Nashville tradition of stories in-the-round and highlighting the unique mission of Porter’s Call through song. As a non-profit organization, Porter’s Call relies entirely on donations, sponsorships, and this annual event to sustain its work providing care, support, and encouragement for touring recording artists and their loved ones.
