In a powerful celebration of music’s transformative impact, the We Are All Music Foundation (WAAM) is proud to announce its inaugural “Power Of Music” Benefit Concert, presented by Wells Fargo Advisors, on September 26, 2024, at The Cutting Room in New York City. This landmark event marks a 5-year milestone for WAAM, highlighting its achievements and continued commitment to harnessing music’s profound impact on lives by advancing mental and physical well-being. With the support of Amazon Music, Pete & Jillian Muller, and other sponsors, this benefit concert promises to be an unforgettable evening of entertainment and inspiration.

The event features an incredible lineup of performances, including hip-hop legend Darryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels of Run-DMC, who will share his personal journey of overcoming struggles with mental health and suicide. Rising star Jake Thistle and an ensemble led by acclaimed bassist Al “Boogie” Carty will also take the stage, along with students from WAAM’s grantee organizations. Hosted by comedian and NBC correspondent Paul Costabile, the evening promises a blend of entertainment and inspiration, with a silent auction featuring unique items and experiences donated in support of WAAM’s mission.

As part of Suicide Prevention Month, the “Power Of Music” Benefit Concert serves as a pivotal fundraising initiative, aimed at supporting innovative grant-making and research endeavors. Net proceeds will directly fund WAAM’s initiatives, including suicide prevention and links between music and mental health. With its mission to improve lives and strengthen communities through the power of music, WAAM is creating positive societal change across critical areas, such as core curriculum and after-school mentor programs that improve mental health, academic performance, and socio-economic empowerment among disadvantaged youth.
