[Daily Devotional] It Is Not Yet Over: Your Tongue Shall Confess to the Glory and Bounty of the Lord

Scripture Reading:

• Romans 15:13: “May the God who gives hope fill you with all joy and peace by your believing, that you may abound in hope with power of holy spirit.”
• Psalm 34:18: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Reflection: In moments of despair, illness, and hopelessness, it is easy to feel abandoned and alone. Yet, it is precisely in these moments that Jehovah’s profound love and boundless grace shine the brightest. As believers, we are reminded that our journey is not over, and our trials are not the end. The same God who breathed life into you and counted every hair on your head (Luke 12:7) is actively involved in your life, holding you close and guiding you through every challenge.

A Story of Hope: Consider the story of Job, a man who endured unimaginable suffering. He lost his wealth, his children, and his health. Yet, Job’s faith in God never wavered. Despite his friends’ and wife’s urging to curse God, Job declared, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him” (Job 13:15). Job’s story reminds us that even in our darkest hours, God’s plan for us is still in motion, working for our good (Romans 8:28).

Maria’s Journey through Illness: Maria was diagnosed with a severe illness that left her bedridden for months. The doctors were unsure of her recovery, and she felt her world collapsing around her. Confess the promises of God over your life. Declare, “I can do all things through him who gives me power” (Philippians 4:13), and “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).

For those who are feeling hopeless, downtrodden, and sick, we ask for Your healing touch. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let their tongues confess Your glory and bounty. We believe that it is not yet over, for Your plans are to give us hope and a future.
