Grammy Award winning Christian singer Mandisa, has passed on to glory at age 47, at her home.
The gospel singer was said to have passed away on the 18th of April, 2024.
“We can confirm that yesterday Mandisa was found in her home deceased,” a representative for the singer said in a statement.
“At this time, we do not know the cause of death or any further details. We ask for your prayers for her family and close-knit circle of friends during this incredibly difficult time.”
Mandisa passes on to glory having released five albums and collaborated with noted Christian musicians, including TobyMac, Michael W. Smith, Matthew West and Kirk Franklin.
“Mandisa loved Jesus, and she used her unusually extensive platform to talk about Him at every turn,” said K-LOVE Chief Media Officer David Pierce in a statement reacting to her death.
“Her kindness was epic, her smile electric, her voice massive, but it was no match for the size of her heart.”
Pierce added, “She is with the God she sang about now. While we are saddened, Mandisa is home. We’re praying for Mandisa’s family and friends and ask you to join us.”
