Attack On Christians! Over 15 Worshipers Dies As Armed Men Attack Church Members In Burkina Faso
Over 15 worshipers die and many others injured, as terrorist attack church members in the village of Essakane, Burkina Faso.
The attack took place on Sunday, during a Mass service in a Catholic Church in the village of Essakane.
According to the church statement, it revealed the terrorist left about 15 people dead and two others with injuries.
A statement by the head of the local diocese, Abbot Jean-Pierre Sawadogo, said 12 people were killed instantly, while three others died at the hospital.
“In this painful circumstance, we invite you to pray for those who died in faith, for the healing of the wounded, and for the consolidation of grieving hearts,” the statement reads.
This tragic incident occurred in the same region where various evil act have taken, such as attack on Christian churches and abduction of clergy, as reported.
The country has struggled to create peace within certain places in the country as fighters have killed thousands and displaced more than two million people, further threatening the stability of the nation, which experienced two coups in 2022.
