Popular streaming platform YouTube has deleted Prophet TB Joshua‘s channel (Emmanuel TV) for violating its hate speech policy.

You’d recall that recently, allegations concerning the late Prophet TB Joshua have suggesting that he engaged in inappropriate relationships with women and had involvement in a cult group during his lifetime.

This action taken by the platform comes in after an investigation by BBC proved the late pastor engaged in sexual abuse and torture.

The church which is now spearheaded by his wife Evelyn Joshua, has not responded to the recent removal.

This is the second time in three years that the channel has been suspended by YouTube for breaching rules.

With investigation made by BBC, OpenDemocracy analysed Emmanuel TV, finding over 50 abusive videos online (YouTube).

This investigation carried out by the BBC, saw various contents there, including footage of individuals with mental health issues in chains, alleged medical misinformation and smear campaigns against women accusing TB Joshua of sexual abuse.

The 17th of January 2024 became a huge setback for the church, realizing the satellite channel was dropped by MultiChoice, affecting its broadcast on DStv and GOTv, as YouTube also deletes the channel (Emmanuel TV).
The channel played a significant role in the rise of the late prophet globally and locally.
