AfroGospel sensation Limoblaze is basking in success after clinching the Best Gospel Act award at the 2024 MOBO Awards in Sheffield, UK, on Wednesday night.
The multi-award-winning singer faced stiff competition from UK gospel artists Annatoria, Calledout Music, Guvna B, Tofunmi Adorna, and Triple O to emerge as winner.
Expressing his gratitude on Instagram to God, his wife, and devoted fans, the “Blessed Crooner” shared, “After two years in the UK as an artist, and it’s been 1 @moboawards, 3 @premiergospel awards, 2 @astepfwd awards, 2 sold-out London concerts, and on our way to the third one.” “I want to first say thank you to God for He has helped me stay focused on just wanting more of Him and His Will while at the same time letting these blessings come my way. Thank you to my lovely wife for all she is and does for me @favour_emma Thank you to the entire scene!”, enthused the multi-talented singer
He continued, “Now as I toast to my first MOBO, I say a big thank you to
@premiergospel, to @moboawards, to @astepfwd, and to every member of the voting committee. To my peers, thank you for inspiring me, and I pray our hearts continue to long for Jesus; every one of us is a winner already!”
The MOBO Awards, an annual British music award ceremony, celebrate achievements in “music of black origin,” covering genres such as hip hop, grime, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, and African music.
Limoblaze is now gearing up for his highly anticipated “Limoblaze Live in London – Young and Chosen” concert scheduled for September 14, 2024, featuring confirmed guests like Portland-born singer Sam Rivera and Christian rapper Wande, with more artists expected to be announced in the coming months.
