Kanye West, Cece Winans and Maverick City, all win big as they top Billboard Gospel Artiste of the year 2023.

Kanye West topped the overall list as the artiste of the year, with his album Donda. This made it the third straight time the rapper would claim this honor.

The album Donda was debuted in the Penthouse on the all-genre weekly Billboard 200 plus Top Gospel Albums and Top Christian Albums with 309,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S., according to Luminate.

This marked the rapper’s 10th Billboard 200 leader and second time as No.1 on Top Gospel Albums.

Donda came about after his first spiritual LP, Jesus Is King.

Donda is ranked as No.1 in top Gospel Albums. As Jesus is king is siting on the 5th position.

Also, Donda has ranked at either No. 1 or No. 2 on the weekly Top Gospel Albums chart so far this year.

Sitting on the No.2 position from 2022, is popular gospel group, Maverick City.

Old Church Basement, the collaborative project with Christian act Elevation Worship, ranks as the Top Gospel Albums No. 2 LP of 2023.

Ranked at No.3 on the overall Top Gospel artiste, is gospel icon CeCe Winans. She is also the leading woman of 2023, ruling the year-end Top Gospel Artists Female tally.
